The Carbon Conservation Trust is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2017 by North Carolinians. We hold and monitor conservation easements, and help stakeholders and landowners plan their natural resource management for beneficiaries and future generations.

Using innovative techniques, The Carbon Conservation Trust provides opportunities to meet community needs, be inclusive, and conserve the resources they cherish.

ABOUT US

The Carbon Conservation Trust hosts a group of conservation easement advisors, made up of conservation practitioners, land trust board members, CPA’s, and legal counsel. Our extensive network in the landowner community allows us to lower monitoring and conservation easement development costs, while keeping the long-term goals and objectives of landowners at the forefront of our approach. Our Board of Directors has over 40+ years of combined experience supporting the placement of hundreds of thousands of acres in conservation easements.
